Basil Banko
Basil Banko, Vice President of Information Technology, holds 25 years experience in the I.T. field. Basil is responsible for strategic planning and design of the data enterprise, along with the vitally important Point Of Sale systems in over 60 units throughout 9 major airports in the US and Virgin Islands.
As the former owner-operator of a restaurant and bar in Sandy Springs, GA, Basil brings the unique combination of Hospitality and Information Technology experience to Concessions International. Since joining the company in 2000, Basil has held many positions within the I.T. department. He has introduced, upgraded, and supported breakthrough innovations to both Concessions International and our sister company, H. J. Russell and Company.
Previous to Basil's career at Concessions International, Basil worked in the construction industry developing construction packages. He spent many years at RaceTrac Petroleum, designing, developing and implementing their entire network system.
Basil earned his Computer Programming and Operations Degree from Control Data Institute. He minored in Business Administration and Electrical Engineering from Kennesaw State University. Basil is a talented musician and has performed with bands in the Atlanta area. He is a member of the National Restaurant Association of IT Professionals.
